New Kids on the Block return to Honolulu with TLC for first concert in 30 years

Get ready to party in the “Summertime,” Hawai’i! International superstars New Kids on the Block (NKOTB) are making their way “Step by Step” back to Hawai’i – for the first time in three decades! Fresh off their MixTape 2022 tour, the legendary group have enlisted their friends and very special guests TLC to join the party for two infectiously-fun, high-energy shows at the Neal S. Blaisdell Arena on August 5 & 6, 2022.

Tickets go on sale to credit card holders with a Hawaii ZIP code at 10 a.m. Saturday and range in price from $69.50 to $399.50. They will be available to all other buyers the next day.

As live music venues throw open their doors and live music returns to Hawai’i, NKOTB is excited to bring the party back. With their iconic international hit songs, explosive energy on stage, feel-good nostalgia, all-ages appeal, and plain old sense of fun, NKOTB promise to have the crowd at the Neal S. Blaisdell Arena on their feet, singing and dancing the nights away.

Proving beyond any doubt that they’ve “still got the magic,” NKOTB released “Bring Back the Time,” on March 3, 2022. The single and accompanying video, which feature Salt-N-Pepa, Rick Astley and En Vogue, are joyful nostalgic odes to making memories and celebrating the very best of times. Get ready to experience that same high-energy fun at the Blaisdell Arena on August 5 & 6.

Mega-stars NKOTB, international phenoms who have sold more than 80 million albums world wide, and their special guests, the legendary TLC, the top-selling US girl group of all time, promise to wow the people of Hawai’i with shows packed full of chart-topping hits from their extensive catalogs. NKOTB is known for performing show-stopping fan-favorite #1 hits like “Hangin’ Tough,” “I’ll Be Loving You (Forever),” and “Step By Step.” TLC, influential game-changers in the world of R&B music, have had four of their spectacular singles reach #1 on the US Billboard Hot 100: “Creep”, “Waterfalls”, “No Scrubs”, and “Unpretty.”

About New Kids On The Block:

New Kids on the Block have sold more than 80 million albums worldwide – including back-to-back international #1 songs, 1988’s Hangin’ Tough and 1990’s Step By Step – and a series of crossover smash R&B, pop hits like “You Got It (The Right Stuff),”  “Cover Girl”, “Didn’t I (Blow Your Mind This Time)”, “Hangin’ Tough”, “I’ll Be Loving You”, “Step By Step”, and “Tonight.” The group, which started with humble Boston beginnings, grew to shatter concert box office records, playing an estimated 200 concerts a year in sold-out stadiums around the world.  Since reuniting in 2007, NKOTB have toured consistently to sold out arenas, have sold nearly 4 million tickets and have doubled their crowd sizes. The Boston natives have been bestowed with their very own, “New Kids on the Block Day,” and have been celebrated with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

About TLC:

TLC, with its original members Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins, Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes, and Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas, redefined the R&B genre in the 1990s and paved the way for many of music’s most influential women, including Beyoncé and Rihanna. Without Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes, who passed away in 2002, T-Boz and Chilli continue to bring infectious fun to audiences by drawing on their legacy of four multi-platinum albums, album sales in excess of 65 million records, and nine top-ten hits on the Billboard Hot 100. Their 18-city Crazy Sexy Cool Tour in 2021 featured fan interaction, 90s fashion, and high-energy fun that made each show feel like a house party.
