Ko‘olau Distillery has announced the release of a special edition Old Pali Road Private Reserve Bourbon, with a limited run of 734 bottles (in honor of Kailua’s 96734 ZIP code) available for purchase starting on Thanksgiving Day.
According to the distillery, the special edition Private Reserve is a blend of four distinct distiller-selected barrels ranging in aging time from 79 to 586 days and produced from a 90% corn and 10% 2-row barley mash. It is bottled at 93 proof (46.5% ABV).
The special edition release also pays tribute to the 246th birthday of the United States Marine Corps earlier this month; Ko’olau Distillery CEO Eric Dill and COO Ian Brooks are both Marine Corps veterans with a combined 51 years of service.

The other 500-plus bottles will be available to buy online and pick up in person at the distillery (905 Kapaa Quarry Place, Unit 5014). Hawaii residents may only pick up purchases in person.
And heads up — a two bottle limit per person will also be in effect.
