As Hawaii home prices keep rising, Diamond Head residence sells for $17M

Coldwell Banker Realty said an oceanfront home in the Diamond Head neighborhood on Oahu has been sold for $17 million.

According to a release, independent Coldwell Banker agent Tracy Allen represented the unidentified seller of the property at 3249 Diamond Head Road, which is located on over a half-acre of land in Honolulu that includes more than 180 linear feet of ocean frontage.

With six bedrooms and and seven and a half baths, the property was originally built in 1957 and “significantly” renovated in 2016 and 2019.

As the MLS listing for the property describes it:

Idyllic & highly acclaimed, this prized oceanfront residence in Diamond Head offers over 9,000 SF of luxury living w/ incomparable views, (and) 3 stories w/ elevators. … Through a gated circular entry, you’ll drive into the stately porte-cochère with dual, 2-car garages revealing a lush green grotto, cascading water features & an impeccably designed estate redefining luxury living. You will enjoy gorgeous view-filled rooms overlooking sweeping ocean vistas & verdant lawns. The oceanfront pool/spa is surrounded by palms, tropical foliage & cascading water features. The serene grounds also feature access leading to the sea & sandy shoreline. This is the very best in island oceanfront living!

Allen’s hot hand in Kahala continues with the sale, which follows a $19.6 million transaction earlier this month in which she represented both the buyer and seller. At the time, the sales price was the highest of the year for a single-family home on Oahu.
